The Social Department provides three main services for students of the University of Mannheim: Social counselling, legal advice and an online job market. Latter means an online platform on which students can find jobs and internships. The job exchange has his own commissioner who regularly looks after and updates the platform.

Furthermore, the Social Department is in close contact with the Studierendenwerk and further central institutions offering particular consultations as for example the Psychological Counselling Centre (PBS).

We are Nabil, Nina, Katharina and Vanessa and together we form the social department.
We offer the social counselling. If you have any questions regarding hardship cases, student living, work during your studies or BAföG, you are very welcome at our weekly consultation-hour (mondays 10:00-11:30).

We take care of the legal advice service. In legal matters you can come around at the AStA-office on wednesdays between 1-2 pm. to get free legal advice from our lawyer.
In addition, we organize the online job market. You can find all current jobs and internship offers on the website of the AStA:
Moreover, this semester we are planning to establish a BAföG connected voucher model for the cafeteria and the EO.
